Romagny path between Dmitrov and Leningrad highway is the next major project of the government of Moscow. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year
The project of creating a cockatoo, which is called the Northwest Horde, provides for the construction of a Dmitri direction from Leningrad direction and further to the Yaroslavl highway to the east, and with the continuation towards Skolkovo-to the west. Authorities expect the 29-kilometer highway to significantly improve the transport situation in the capital and distribute the flows between the city and the region. The Alabyan-Baltic tunnel will be part of the cascade, the main work on which should be completed this year. After the opening of the section near Leningradsky Avenue, it is planned to extend the tunnel from the Baltic (at the crossing from the Chasovoy Street) to the Grand Academic, which passes through the 3rd Nizhnealiharound highway connects to Dmitrovskoye Highway. The total length of this line segment is more than two kilometres. The Alabiano-Baltic tunnel has already been completed, the work should be completed this year, and after the completion of the tunnel, the long-awaited connection between the two axis of the capital city will appear. Now the Baltic and the Great Academic share the railway tracks of the Riga direction, but the last differences between the city and the Russian Railways are settled, and now the project has no obstacles. As long as the Great Academic Street is up to the required parameters, the cockatoo is not too wide: it has a different width-somewhere 12, somewhere between 13 and 14 m, and only two lanes in each direction. However, there is a potential for expansion. It can be easily moved and levelled at the space that is marked in the urban planning by "red lines"-that is reserved for these purposes many years ago, still in the design. This 4.5-kilometer line can be extended to three lanes and at the intersection of Klara Zetkin, Priorov and others, even up to four or five. Except for B's change. The organization of traffic on the Mikhalkovskaya street and in the 3rd Mikhalyk Lane may change in connection with its reconstruction. It is not clear how, but experts believe that it would be appropriate to make both streets one-sided (for Mikhalkovskoy-only from the center, by the third Mikhalkovski-only to the center). This year, the authorities of Moscow also plan to start the reconstruction of the Dmitrovskoye Highway. As part of the construction work, it is planned to reconstruct the interchange at the intersection of Dmitrovka with the 3rd Nijnelyhoborski crossing. The cost of the works is estimated at three billion rubles. New interchange should be introduced at the intersection of Dmitrovskoye Highway with the 3rd Nijnelihrak Road
