En BMW talsmand har bekræftet, at Vej & Spor at M3 Pickup for nylig spottet test på Nürburgring er ikke ledes til produktion. BMW M har faktisk skabe pick-up set på Ringen, men det var bare et internt projekt, ikke noget, der er i udvikling, forklarede Dave Buchko, BMW Avancerede Powertrain & Arv Communications Manager. Der er ingen planer om at producere det. Det mærkelige prototype sandsynligt, slog frygt i hjerterne på BMW-fans overalt. Drevet af en høj-revving V-10 motor, M3 kan bestilles som en coupe, cabriolet eller sedan. Men tanken om at en pickup bed slog på bagsiden af BMWs ikoniske M bil syntes en alvorlig strækning, både i form af seriel produktion og fornuft. Så hvis du drømmer om en dag at eje en M3-Pickup (eller hvis tanken gav dig mareridt), kan du nu officielt glem alt om bilen/lastbil ankommer i en BMW showroom. But the idea of a pickup bed slapped onto the back of BMWs iconic M car seemed a serious stretch, both in terms of serial production and sanity. So if you were dreaming about someday owning an M3 Pickup (or if the thought gave you nightmares), you can now officially forget about the car/truck arriving in a BMW showroom.
